Eric J. Powell

Not a generation off the cotton plantation of Alabama, former collegiate athlete on back-to-back national championship football teams (one win), Eric is passionate about transformation, ie, transforming leaders and transforming companies. He has almost 25 years of transforming companies by leading major corporate strategy, M&A, and transformation.  That experience includes Big 4 management consulting experience in principal roles at Enovation Partners and Booz & Company (now Strategy&) as well as interim executive roles for multiple energy and process companies with the global leader in restructuring. Whether in times of growth or times of distress, leadership is the true pivot point of success or failure.

In 2010, Eric founded CUE Leadership Institute, Inc to help leaders from all walks of life to understand, align, and walk in a higher purpose. Eric also hosted a weekly online radio show, onCUE! Radio (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/oncue) and Salem Radio Network. He used this platform to highlights everyday leaders who are making a difference in society. A frequent speaker to industry and community leaders, Eric has authored and co-authored a number of articles, publications, and blogs, including his book The Leader in the Mirror: A Second Chance to Close the Gap.

Native of Greenville Alabama, Eric holds a bachelor of science in mathematics from Jacksonville State University, where he was NCAA scholarship athlete and a starting running back on 1992 Division II National Championship Football team. Black-belt trained, he is certified in Lean Business Operations through the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business. Combining business, sports, and real life experiences, he knows what it takes to close gaps and raise your game.
